I use a software fix to your hardware problem. It was developed by ATG. At boot up it will pass the correct date to the operating system, CMOS clock and BIOS chip.
This fix is highly recommended by the computer industry. Many large corporations use this program - such as AT&T ! It was given excellent reviews by various pc magazines.
Other less desirable fixes available :
A. Buy a new motherboard or computer - very expensive & no guarantee the BIOS chip on it will fix the problem.
B. Flash the BIOS - Very risky - if the code is wrong in this software fix, you have to buy a new motherboard !! Correct software flash is hard to find.
C. Use a memory resource/driver program - not always stable or dependable, uses valuable memory resources, can be inadvertently disabled.
AFTERWARDS :
A. MAKE NEW BOOT DISKS & ENABLE YOUR ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM
Also : In Control Panel go to Regional Settings; for Short Date Style select a setting that has FOUR y's
